Red Tree Leadership Selected to Speak at ASTD

February 11, 2009

“What Great Leaders And Organization Know About Change”

OREM, Utah – Feb 11, 2009 – Curt Garbett, vice president of Red Tree Leadership, will speak in this year’s ASTD annual International Conference and Exposition at Washington D.C. on June 2 about “What Great Leaders And Organization Know About Change.”

ASTD (the American Society for Training and Development) is the world’s largest association for professionals in the corporate training and development field. The annual conference aims to provide the latest trends and best practices in the field of learning and performance. Attendees are expected from more than 70 countries.

“To be one of a select few organizations invited to speak at an international trade show of this magnitude is definitely an honor,” Garbett said.  “This is a phenomenal opportunity for training and HR professionals to discover the principles and concepts that are mission critical to all change initiatives.”

In his 90-min presentation, Garbett will focus on change management, which is a key aspect of the book “Who Moved My Cheese?” that the company bases their training on.

Drawing on over 10 years of experience working on major change initiatives with companies from Dubai, India, Europe, the Pacific, and the Americas, Garbett will make the presentation interactive and meaningful through a mixture of case studies, real world planning activities and quick organizational assessments. Attendees will learn what common factors have helped a variety of businesses succeed with major changes, and how to make the same thing happen in their own organization.
